Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) is a download manager that increases download speeds by up to 300 percent. DAP searches for mirror sites that will most effectively serve your downloads, and features multi-server connections to for optimal utilization of dial-up or broadband connections. DAP also automatically recovers from shutdowns, lost connections, and other errors. DAP is fully integrated into Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Opera, and offers a complimentary toolbar for Internet Explorer with a links catcher and a highlighter. DAP features A FTP Browser, auto hang-up after download, proxy settings, scheduling, and a unique AlwaysResume service for enhanced resume support. DAP offers a multilingual support, including German, Dutch, French, Chinese (traditional), Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, and Italian. DAP 7.4 new features: DAP Filter Pane is a comprehensive Filters system that allows you to filter the files on your DAP list according to various categories. The categories are based on the download status (Downloading, Queued, Paused, Scheduled, etc), or on the file type (Software, Music, Video etc). DAP's History Manager allows you to easily navigate your downloads history, listing the files that were downloaded during a given time frame. Use the toolbar menu to list the files that were downloaded during a predefined time frames (Day, Week an Month). You may also search specific files based on key words.
